The National e-Governance Services Limited (NeSL), on April 24, 2026, issued a circular notifying the activation of digital e-stamping articles for the State of Arunachal Pradesh (State Code “AR”) on its DDE platform. This update is applicable for debt-related non-registrable instruments and is intended for use by registered banks and NBFCs.
The circular provides a detailed list of digital article codes mapped to corresponding stamp duty articles such as Acknowledgement, Affidavit, Agreement, Bond, Debentures, Promissory Note, Security Bond, and others. These codes facilitate standardized selection of stamp duty articles while executing financial documents through the digital e-stamping system.
NeSL has clarified that the responsibility for selecting the correct stamp duty article code and determining the applicable stamp duty value rests solely with the executing parties. The platform acts only as a facilitator and does not validate or confirm the correctness of such selections.
